    Complete engine swap!!

    Toyota makes Bell-housings :)

I think you would need to use the bellhousing off an R150.

IDK if R150 case bolt pattern is the same as R155... but I think its a 1 bolt mod to make it that way.

Or just copy my powertrain completely after I mod it next year

I currently have a 5vz/3vz shifter part on the way to me. So there might be some resemblance of interchange with the 2 transmissions

R-series stuff is generally compatible with some minor grinding/clearance-ing.

idk about your shafts for the .69 gearing change... I also don't know which bell-housing I'm gonna end up using for the 2GR swap. 95% the R150 one.

:notsure: sounds like you know more than I do lol

One thing I noticed when searching about my trans, 3rd gen 2.7 has a taller first and 4th I think. Potential swap.

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
    Find an FJ drivetrain
It all fits in our trucks
    2nd and 3rd gen tacos
It’s common for dudes to swap the FJ transfer case in because it’s way more stout than the taco one

That's also a consideration as well. I was just kicking around better gearing in the transmission itself. After 4.88s, 4lo is so nice in 1st gear, off road. Still a touch over-gear for pavement pounding on 33s.
I've got a "power addition" on the way as we speak, wait and see how it behaves after this.

The FJ case would be purely for off road gains. Transmission gearing would benefit both worlds.

LSJ Ecotec...easy to get to the mid 200’s, cheap, tons of standalone support, and you can make an r155 bolt up with a solstice/sky bellhousing

But really, most motor swaps make very little sense. Especially a 1GR, way way way easier to just buy a 1GR truck and move your mods over

Lezbianest, I won't be motor swapping til this is paid off and I've got another DD. Just making it as fun to drive for me as possible within my means, for now.

Edit: the above doesn't mean I won't put in a different t-case, turbo/sc, or build the internals.

Worth the 2 lightly smashed fingers and skinned knuckle.

Definitely much better across the board as a whole. Felt no low end loss, but a gain. Really made a difference above 3k rpm, feels like it gained the little pep back from stock. Deeper and consistent exhaust tone, I can also hear music at more normal levels again. But, I can also hear all the squeaks and creaks of my suspension better:facepalm:

I've not noticed any heat decreases or increases yet. May get header wrap, may not.

If I had to do it all over again, the header would've gone on well before the muffler and a lot of other upgrades. Highly recommend for anyone with the 2TR.

Don’t wrap it or the header will rust

I waffled about that exact issue. The LCE header threads and posts don't seem to be consistent in that regard, but the ceramic coating and welds are improved on mine compared to what I saw of older ones
