My new guy clipped a power line today and put a helicopter into the rice right in front of me.

Had hoped to leave in the morning but I attended a memorial service for my former pastor who passed away unexpectedly, and I ate up a chunk of my day. Not much left to do though. I did get the fridge in, along with the battery and the panels are working great with it. They're harbor freight cheapo stuff .. but they work fine. Just not as convenient as some others. The battery didn't lose any power at all in the afternoon and evening... Maintained the same reading. So the panels were pretty much supplying the power the fridge needed. Looks like we'll be leaving Monday morning. I need my last day to be at a relaxed pace anyway .. or I'm liable to go off and leave something behind.

Oh man.. that's scary. Hope he's ok. It certainly could have been worse. So as long as everyone walked away that's what matters.

Insurance should take care of the bird and, fingers crossed, the medical bills. He goes in to surgery in the morning. It was his first day.
