Not even going to post a picture of the short ribs. Wasn’t a compete disaster but not even close to what I was going for. :annoyed::(:goingcrazy::facepalm:

Didn’t make me sick but was tough and drier then I expected and I followed this recipe pretty dang close. Just one of those fails where I don’t know if I want to try again because I was so far away. Unlike my Tri-tip where the texture and smoke ring were awesome but it was just a bit salty from a hurried and probably un-needed salt brine

I just bought that ladder last week at Home Depot, first time I've had one like it. Already kicking myself for not getting one sooner!

Well broke 100° heat index today, was nasty outside. No sounds, nothing. No one was moving outside and I decided not to run into town for food but use up what I could find.

Still had half a snake in the kettle but steaks and most things frozen. So dug around and used what I had on hand, took a package of hot dogs and wrapped in thick cut bacon. Coated it in Pitfaced meat massage of course. Found a can of beans and doctored them with pepper, onion, ketchup, mustard, honey, and some cheese filled little smokies.

    half hour in.jpg

With the beans under the dogs of course. Although the dripping bacon grease almost made the beans overflow

    platter.jpg

Yep even broke out the good China, 1958 CorningWare blue cornflower LOL. 1958 was a great year.

It really was good, first time I've ever smoked hot dogs :anonymous: Cheapest meal I've had in a long time too.

Nope. What got the bacon treatment next to it? That’s the real deal.
