    Hi,

I have two questions regarding my ditch light install. I have a 2013 SR5 PreRunner.

The first one is that my switch light doesn't shut off. It just stays lit up inside the cab when the truck is turned off. Do I need to have it wired somewhere specifically in order for it to only light up when my truck is turned on?

The second question is that I noticed that my truck doesn't lock now. When I click the lock button it locks then unlocks immediately after. I am assuming this issue is somehow related to the power being ran directly to the battery?

i would start with unhooking your wiring that you did the for the lights. see if that fixes your locks.
    then start redoing it.
how did you wire up your lights?

If you car won't lock then it is very likely they are draining your battery

So I unhooked it from the battery, and that solved the lock door issue. Where should I be running it to get power? Also for the switch light staying on in the cab should I have the power for that ran somewhere else instead of running directly to the switch?

it will depend on a few things and how that bar is wired. but for the button illumination it should be tied to a fused spot that is only hot when the truck is on/running. the power for the switch/relay will depend on if you want it to be turned on/off with the truck off or on.
a quick search brought up this thread with lots of good info.
