The only way i'd take a four cylinder is in the following config

    1995-2015 Single cab 4WD or 2WD with a manual

The 3rd gen SR is an all around bad value for the money

Is it a dealer? Are you trying to trade in your 12? The bigger jump in price is the 6cyl not the 4wd. You can get a new 2019 SR access cab 4 cyl utility pkg in the 22,5 range 2wd so 23.5 for a almost 4 year old w 4wd does seem high (unless there's a ton of mods you haven't mentioned) like BH1 said. My advice is that there are more fish in the sea, do a auto trader search and see what else is out there.

As the other guys said too expensive. You can buy new. & get full warranty. Is it certified? Also they always say they won't budge until you walk. Good luck

I started out looking for a low mileage used Tacoma and quickly realized that a few thousand more $ for new, with warranty and a choice of trim level/options as well as 1.99% dealer financing, was the only way to go.

Yet it's missing two cylinders and gets the same MPG. It's so bad that even Jalponik lampooned it

    YOURE MISSING TWO CYLINDERS

Jalopnik jumped the gun. The 4cyl is the same basic 4cyl Toyota has always put in the pickups. Nobody complained back then, because they knew what they were getting into. A shiny golf cart. They compared it against the THEORY that the 6 is 289 hp with almost the same mpgs. But they weren’t aware that the concept was akin to me saying you can have your Applebee’s and eat it too. Jalopnik was all like “why would you bang on 4 when you could haz a veesix! Same mpgs! Way more hp!” Yet here were are in 2019, where every other thread is v6 owners complaining about terrible mpgs and low power output. I’m just gonna sip my tea smugly.

It was a good price. Sadly, those trd beadlocks I had them throw in put me well over the 24k mark. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

The very reason people buy fullsize V8 trucks, or use to. The 6 in what ever midsize used almost as much fuel as a V8, and wasn't much more powerfull than the 4cyl option. GM, addressed this with their 5cyl lol.
