Just regular magnets that come in a roll. I've done highway driving. Done several short road trips and no issues.

No rear window proved to get a loooooot of dust in the bed. Rolling home in safari mode to try and blast it out.

Have I mentioned how much I love this thing?

You fold in the corners like I do. Looks so much cleaner when you're rolling safari style.

Agreed. Pretty sure they even tell you to do that when you roll them up.

It’s gets pretty dusty with the rear window as well, but probably not as bad as without.

Except for the 3m clear vinyl, I did the same. magnets and velcro. Seems okay for now.

I just made my Velcro span the entire width of the tailgate. Looks better than just a couple stripe imo.

I tried that with regular hardware store Velcro and it worked great for a few weeks and then the adhesive failed. Now I need to clean the gunk off and start over. What product did you use?

    what works good is

adhesiveless velcro +clear lexel. lexel dries clear and tough and it a zillion times better than silicone

it takes a few days to harden up perfectly, but I used lexel to adhere 7 strips of velcro to my tailgate lip and it came out great and
    my softopper flap stays secure

I am going to use clear 3M Velcro. We only get it small strips (I’m sure I could buy it in full strips, but where the fun in that) at work. So I’m going to try that. The stuff we use is pretty stout. I’ll post a picture here in a minute

It looks good but I totally understand what you are saying..on my 2010 I had a tan topper (super white) and it wasn't what I thought it was going to be..

I decided I would rather have black and have it fade to a closer grey that start out so light against my paint color

They have them listed on their website if I remember right, I bought another set when one of my tailgate pieces started to peel.
