The wide, flat, white hood made it feel like I was peering over a freezer

LOL, I was on the fence about taking them off. After I did I was glad I did. I just think it makes the truck look cleaner even though some say it looks like the 2nd gens without the black vinyl.

 

Just debadge it completely, looks awesome like that.

I don't mind the look without them on other trucks, but I'm fine with the way mine looks and I'm a firm believer in "if it isn't broke, don't fix it." The fear of regret is real over here lol

 

For as many old guys as there are on this site and buying these trucks in general, I would’ve figured more people would prefer the “nostalgia” look of the regular OR stickers.

 

You’re not. I jus think that people like to personalize their rides so they do t end up looking like everybody else’s. There was a thread recently here discussing that. Even if something looks good, invariably someone will modify it just to be different.

While some colors look fine without them, personally, I believe the QS needs some graphics and the black vinyl between the windows just to break up all the tan. It gives the eye a break and makes the truck look more balanced as whole.

I don't have this issue but am curious as to how you remove these decals . I am too old for stickers to float my stick pretty much. I recall my first. That was back in 1968. It was from Hurst Shifters and it said 'Shift as hard as you please, but don't break your arm .' Many years later I got another in 1998 for a bike I still have that has soft saddle bags. It says 'A gun society is a polite society' A sort of warning about what might happen if I catch anyone going thru those saddlebags. The next o0ne is on a lid. My sis in law gave it to me and I wear ot proudly. It says 'I am not totally useless, as I can still be used as a Bad Example.'

So how do you get these off ?

I agree and I think it's cool that people want to make their truck look a little different for someone else's.

 

if you live someplace hot, just let it sit in the sun for a bit and they'll peel right off. If not, some have used a heat gun to get them hot and then peel them off.
