Some goodies from my '06.

I have some pieces and parts from my 06 DCSB OR for sale. It's not easy for me to ship from here, by the way.


Stock grille: $35. Includes the red logo...


3 "Tacoma" logos and a "V-6" . $10 for all


Full set fender flares: $150. Faded, but a good set for plasti-dip or Line-X coating


Full set flaps: $40. Normal wear.


Tail lights: $30. One is missing the little clip that holds the plug wire, all mounting points in good shape.


Shift Knob. $15.

Any prices would be for pick-up in South Central Kentucky, near Lake Cumberland. Roughly in the middle of Knoxville, Nashville, Louisville , and Chattanooga. Shipping would be more...

Would you consider a swap for my chrome logo so you have a replacement?

 

No, since I now have a mesh grille...

 

I meant more so you could sell the grille and have a logo for it instead of just splitting the logo and not having a replacement to put in

Thanks! So did I, and I got lucky by finding someone here that had that one for sale cheap! It needed a little work, and some paint from Automotive-touchup.com to make it perfect, but...

 

And you could do your Logo yourself, just c=sand the chrome a bit to rough up the surface, and get some spray from these folks...

I heard that prepping chrome and getting the paint to stick was really difficult(?)

 

Not really, since the logo is plastic. Sandpaper it pretty well, use the primer from the company 2 coats, several coats of the red paint, and then clearcoat. Works like a charm. All you need is a rough surface...

 

I used to strip the "Chrome" off of plastic model kit parts by soaking them in brake fluid for a couple of days. The fluid dissolves the coating over the "Plating", and it will scrub right off the part with nothing more then a toothbrush. Not sure if the Logo is plated the same way, but it IS Plastic, so who knows??
