goodyear trailrunner A/T

well got more aggressive tires for my 2019 3rd gen 2.7l SR taco. goodyear trailrunner A/T in 265/75r16. cost $131.00 per tire. specs say 31.7 in height. installed measured 31.0 on way home noticed a lil more road noise. (expected) but not to bad for A/T tires... definitely had a lot of room. tires do not rub at all! Full turns! we are completely locked going over speed bumps nothing rubbed! took some pictures to see the space when tires completely turned.

 

I just installed the same tires on my ‘17 Sport Rally, but in 245/75R-16.

 

how are yours riding? Mine make a little bit of noise but I came from regular passenger tires not LT tires and not A/T tires

 

Mine are riding just fine. I’m coming from the stock Hankook Dyna Pros. I don’t hear (or feel) any noise from them.

 

Mine ride fine too! the steering wheel does not Shake.... but I do hear the Nabis more... then the regular passenger Street Tire..i had hankook dyna 245/75R16 before....more highway

 

btw....you running 32 psi....or higher

 

33 psi front, 32 psi rear.

 

Is it true if you run at higher like 36 PSI you get better with gas mileage

 

Driving habits will have way more to do with your mpgs than a few psi in your tires. I doubt you'd see any difference between 32 psi and 36 psi.

 

so....why 33 psi front and 32 psi rear?
because of weight of engine?

 

245s, is the skinner tire lighter and more fuel efficient? I was thinking about going to a 255. How does it ride?

 

It rides fine. I went with 245’s because that’s what came off the truck. My truck has the 4 cylinder, I don’t need to add any extra work or weight to it. Other than a slight bump in ground clearance, there’s no advantage to taller tires.

 

I run closer to 40 PSI in P rated tires on the road. Fuel mileage will be better. It will vary according to other factors, but I get 2 mpg better at 38-40 psi than at 32. If snow, or mud are on the ground I'll drop to 25-30 PSI for better traction.
