I was in a similar boat when I left my last job to come out here. I considered giving them 3 weeks instead of 2 in the event they needed to plan for a replacement although I was worried they just send me out the door that same day. I think it shows a lot of respect for giving your two weeks unless you know for sure they would screw you over in a second and you are ok not having them really on your resume besides just a notch in your history.

Can you resign/leave within a day and not be considered as a quitter at that job?

3week lol I have my last job 5 months notice and trained my replacement. I’ll probably end up giving my current job at least a months notice if I can. They need me too much to just drop me on the spot.

Holy shit man...I mean were you going to be employed 6 months out or was this in prep for college? If you are leaving the work force altogether, then yea I can see giving a longer notice. That said, the way you work in the garage I could see why employers would need time to find a second Ryan.

Yeah that was my prep to go back to college. So as soon as I got accepted I let my old boss know so I could help train/ prepare the shop for the change.

For my current job, it’s been known by my employer that I’m leaving when I graduate so it will be more of a reminder next year that school is coming to an end and so is my time here. Can’t wait for that and to be doing something where I actually make real money again.

Nothing. We keep living like we are and pay off debt. Once debt free, we save to buy the house from my parents. Somewhere around then a kid will likely be involved and the truck will remain as is.

I’ll add bypasses when I can, hopefully late next year, and just keep up on maintenance for my current setup for a few years likely. Maybe in 3-5yrs or so I’ll work on designing my own suspension setup with links and who knows up front.

I'm not sure how many shy youtube stars there are, but I can't imagine it's many... The roommate has been putting in a whole lot of effort for almost a year now streaming on twitch and has a reasonable size community of regular followers and subscribers and it's not even burger flipping money in terms of hours put in. She likes it though and there's the decal business to supplement, but I fear your niece has a very rude awakening that's going to unfold in slow motion.

If there's anyone I'd say could do it, it'd be you.

Packing em in like sardines! Probably should renovate sooner rather than later...

Also this is gonna make a great 4th of july picture, we now have a red white and blue car. Although one built in Canada, one built in Texas, and one built in Hiroshima Japan...

Thanks brotha. I agree. But I guess if my brother is ok with taking care of his 22 year old son, packaged with a 7 month old grandson and the baby mama along with his little youtube star daughter, all of them with no jobs, that's up to him.

    Here here!

My taco is stock as fuck, but has lofty dreams of a 3” ADS lift!

Probably won’t even consider $$ for lift until it is paid off free and clear.

I made a little progress this morning on the really old car. Got the AC and heater core assembly back in. Baby steps being made.
