Actually, I’m a complete idiot. My gf has the same setup, so I could just steal one of her wheels one day

And once you switch them, see how long you get away with leaving them on :)

Nice! I looked at the Yoder YS640, but I would have been divorced if I had bought that one. My sub-$500 pit boss will do for now lol

Haha... I heard that. The Pit Boss should be fine. I've heard nothing but good things about them so far.

Installed a new GFCI outlet outside and it keeps tripping it, every minute or so.

According to the owners manual for the grill, it may or may not work with a GFCI...and my understanding is that an outdoor outlet HAS to be a GFCI due to code.

It ran fine on a non-GFI outlet via an extension cord from inside the house.

Very frustrating to say the least. I may say fuck it and swap out the GFCI for a standard outlet.

    Yes
Perhaps the outlet is bad. Does it pass test? Before doing something drastic like potentially setting yourself up for failure. Check another GFCI outlet on the exterior of your house to see if its still giving you trouble. My guess is that it has something to do with the outlet or the wires leading to the outlet. Perhaps they are underrated for the drop or amperage draw. I'm unfamiliar with how that smoker works so I cant speak on that, but I would check the wire gage for proper rating. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yeah it passes test. It’s brand new along with the grill.

I’m trying a few more things before I pull the GFCI and start over with a new one or a standard outlet (probably dangerous for outdoor use).

I’m at Lowe’s now exchanging it for a standard outlet that’s “weather resistant”. But yes, there is a cover.

It would go 2-4mins and keep tripping.

You can have multiple outlets on one circuit breaker. Just need one of those receptacles to be a GFCI. The rest can be normal duplex receptacles.

Great smoke ring on that, looks moist, too. Looks amazing! Next weekend I hope I get a good solid smoke. Seems like it has been forever.

Won’t disagree with that. Something about being able to set temp and walk away though!

My UDS was needy, I’m not sure why...I need to make a new one. I still have all the parts, just need a new drum and figure out a better intake vent solution.

Dobinson’s coils and shocks. SOS sliders, ditch light brackets, and front skid. Rigid ditch lights. BFG KO(dos) More minor stuff.
You can do what you want but probably will just have to change it when you leave. As stated above, if one in the circuit is gfci then you are good.
