I've had this truck since new, 7 miles on the odo and I've started noticing my stock radio cut out and just today, it changed the station a couple numbers without my input. I do have an old usaspec ipod adapter hooked up behind the radio. Anyone have issues similar on a stock radio where it cuts out for a second while it's playing? I haven't had a chance to disconnect the adapter at this point to see if that could be doing something since it's hooked up to the antenna port on the back.

A power issue would be noticeable. A speaker wire grounding out somewhere would mute your stereo until it became ungrounded. Out of curiosity, do you have steering wheel controls?

common problem with these stock radio's... google it and you'll see lots of info on problem. Most guys just buy a different head unit, I like the stock just fine so I bought another used one cheap. On eBay several people have auctions where you can send your radio in and have it repaired. good luck

I've hit the steering wheel controls accidentally a few times that caused some station change and volume issues?

Thought I did that the first time but then it happened a couple times when I definitely didn't touch the controls.
