I love the Mother's kit - that's all I will use on my Mustang. The quality of the clay is outstanding.

if you have only used big box store clay then you probably don’t understand how other clays are better.

Nanoskin lube along with there mitt. So much better than dealing with a clay bar. If you drop it just rinse it off!

Skip the dedicated clay lube, especially with one of those nanoskin products. We recently decontaminated our work van and used the nanoskin mitt. I usually clay with my rinseless wash as lube but since the wash bucket was still there I gave it a shot as the lube and it worked great. One reason is whether you have their sponge or a mitt the spongy parts work great for holding the soapy solution so if you feel the panel getting dry just squeeze the back of the mitt to get some more. Plus the soap bucket is great so you can constantly try to keep the synthetic clay clear of scratchy things.

    These are great!
I havent used griots brand but nanoskin pads, also I have a nanoskin 6" clay disc that can be used on my polisher or by hand and also a blackfire clay mitt. I still have a couple old mothers clay bars but they rarely get used since the other things work faster, easier, and just as well as clay

It's so quick and easy to do by hand. Doesn't it get more difficult to put it on a polisher?

Not sure how it will go with a polisher. The videos on nanoskin look good and make it seem ever easier. I'll try it out but may end up just using the hand strap for it

I think it looks better than new now. Used Griots polisher w/ correcting cream, sealer, then wax. It looks just like a black mirror.
My uncle used to show his 66 Vet (always took 1st) on the west coast back in the day so I have a pretty good feel for what show quality looks like. I’m sold on the Griots system because the results are as good if not better than show quality.

I've had good luck with both Mother's and Griot's. This is the garage wall reflected off the side of my Mustang after using the kit from Mother's.

Except Nanoskin wash mitt is faster and removes the same contaminants. Take synthetic over “real clay” any day.

Agreed. The synthetic is soooo easy. If you have serious sap or tar buildup, the real clay might be necessary. But I n that case, I'd probably start with some diluted isopropyl alcohol anyway.

95% of the time, the synthetic is more than sufficient (maybe even 99%).

I've used the eagle 1 mitt and the mothers "speed clay". Both seem identical to me. I'd imagine the nanoskin and Griots are comparable.

I haven’t used either of those. The Nanoskin is really sticky. Are the Eagle 1 or Mothers the same?

I haven’t come across anything yet where I had to break out any other type of clay.
