    Inspected, cleaned and adjusted my brakes. Rears were way over-tightened by the Toyota dealer and the left rear shoe retaining springs had come off. Luckily, my brakes were not damaged.

    I'll be needing to my front pads, as there's not much life left in them, front rotors (they're cross drilled and showing signs of cracking) and front calipers next month. The front calipers are essentially balls of rust and the front right caliper is sticking. Might as well replace them, too.

    The rear brakes shouldn't need replacement for many more months, so I'm not worried about them.

    ...and a continuation of what I worked on today. After all the brake work, i decided since I was about to hit 120k, that I would get everything caught up, for the most part.

    1. I changed the oil and filter, took the old oil and supplies to AutoZone for disposal, purchased conduit and 16-gauge primary wire.

    2. Finished wiring my license plate lights.

    Against all advice, I'm going to start messing with cast iron. I started when I was a boy scout in the 90s, and there's something about breakfast cooked on a cast iron skillet.

    Right? I love cooking with cast iron, but I forgot the ways of the iron chef-ing. I'm doing the third seasoning of my Lodge Cast Iron Pan, after cooking with it once. The re-seasoning want thorough enough and I had stickiness, so i smoothed it out and re-oiled it. I'm hoping it's good after this one. I wish started prep on my, yet unused, Lodge Cast Iron Dutch Oven.

    Fry up a bunch of bacon in it... then wipe out the excess grease and reheat the pan. Cool and repeat a few time. Before ya know it.. you will have a nice shiny black pan

    Don’t run out and buy a bunch of cast iron. I was in a old mans barn a while back looking for old tractor parts and there was a huge pile of cast iron stuff. He let me have it all. I will send ya a pic when I get back to the shop.
