Well discovered water leaking into my cab somewhere. Pulled my weathertech mat out to shake the dirt off and it was wet under it, carpet is wet and musty :censored::censored:

Gonna be a long long long week at work but maybe next weekend or next week I’ll have time to gut the interior. Thinking I might just go ahead and put a vinyl floor in it not that I’m really thrilled with those but would be so much easier to clean.

Anyone have suggestions on where to start searching for a leak, it’s the driver side that was wet. I’ve never seen any water on top of the mat

I tried a lot of different things along the way. Air on/off, vents open/closed, window open. pressing on various areas of the dash, reaching up through the glove box, etc. etc. I taped up some loose aux. light wires. Tape on the mud flap to hold it to the running board. Repositioned the ws washer hoses.

Hope it's not a rusty windshield frame, like mine was.

Found it when I needed the windshield replaced. It went to the body shop for that work. 4 or 5 hundred. Windshield was under my glass breakage, so no cost there.

easy fix. Your AC drain is plugged.

Crawl under your truck on the passenger side and look up at the fire wall. You'll see a weird piece of tubing poking down out of the firewall. (can see it from the engine bay as well.)

Get an old wire hanger and undo it. Pull the rubber hose off and make sure it's clear of debris. Poke the hanger up into the cab and hopefully a bunch of shit will come out.

    Problem solved.

Isn’t that on the passenger side? When I first got my truck I was getting water on my passenger side and cleaned out the drain. Would it cause water to be on the driver side floor?

Edit i was half asleep when I read your post. I see you said passenger side.

Because this looks like ass and it would be nice to know if someone has found a good fix. Bedliner was a great suggestion but it's not for me because I want them metal colored. Stainless bolts also a good suggestion, thanks for the size!

Then they could charge an arm and a leg for them like custom seat risers.

aluminum apparently is not the best material for the rope hooks
out of curiosity i took my flashlight (with magnetic tip) out and inspected these hooks, and they are magnetic! I had no clue! had always thought they were non-corrosive material because I had never seen them get weathered back under there

checked my old OEM exhaust that i have not disposed of yet and that was magnetic!
took the magnet to my new aftermarket exhaust and bam NO magnetic!
can these rope hooks be made (or available out there already) of material the exhaust is made of? or the alloy wheels material (those are non-magnetic as well)

i just want some badass and durable rope hooks!

now that my hooks will be exposed from the bedliner change i would prefer they not look like ass either!
i will ask the LineX shop guy if he knows of any corrosive resistant rope hooks, since his specialty is truck beds (and all trucks probably have rope hooks) he would be the one to know!

Is your exhaust stainless? If it's high in nickel then it is less magnetic if at all.

304 is austenitic and not very magnetic.

    the splash guard?
mine looks to be all there and clipped in good, it does appear to look different than the drivers side splash guard flap
i.e., i can see thru more of the engine parts on passenger side, not as covered up as the drivers side, not sure if that is normal or if its missing a piece,
letting the wind come into the engine compartment through the wheel well and vibrating something
