If air is going out, it's coming in, otherwise you'd have a vacuum. That means outside air is coming into your sleeping space. A passive vent would likely be enough in colder temps, when it's hot a small fan would pull your body heat away and bring in ambient temperature air.

None that I’ve seen so far, but I’m far from an expert. Many are in metric so I’ve had to deal with converting measurements. But the 10/15/20/40/45 series all appear to be close to 1/4” slot and we need 1/2” slot. And our track is so shallow compared to normal extrusion that may be half an inch deep compared to our 1/8”

I've got one of these. I haven't installed it because it protrudes quite a bit into the 'living space'. I'm afraid it might be too much with the cushions installed. I need to experiment with it a bit...

Thanks! I see it required a separate power adapter. Did you just solder the end of this onto more wire and then use a cigarette adapter or something?

It’s wired to the trucks starting battery.

The second generation tent material breathes whereas the original material doesn't. This makes a difference in the condensation level. I suspect simply having a solar vent with a built in battery would be sufficient most of the time. Even a passive vent would help. I have no garage and my truck is outdoors 24/7. I like the idea of having a small fan running continuously 24/7 regardless if the tent is open or not. It's good to have some air movement even when in storage. IMO big RV fans are overkill for the little GFC.

I’m in the same boat, mostly just for venting during storage.

I’ve been looking at some of the marine vents, there are solar models that I think I read will still move air at night. Haven’t gone as far as buying a model and measuring yet though

On a side note, I finally put some quickfists up for fishing rods. They work perfectly:

When did the price go up to $6,450? I ordered back in January when I think it was $5,450. They honor the price when originally purchased, not current price I’d assume?

Check your invoice. I am not sure the 5450 is correct but regardless if you paid your deposit in full at that time, then you are locked into the price that was in effect on that date.

Work in progress of my new build out. I think I'll be happier with this setup over the full platform/ full length drawers as I can access everything I need from inside the truck bed. Next up, I need to wire in some lights

Thanks. I'd say around $200 in materials and two weekends, give or take. But, I had a bunch of parts on hand like the drawer slides and slam latches.

Absolutely no clue. I have the HD Dakar rear springs and even with all the weight of the boxes, camping stuff and GFC, it's still higher than stock by quite a bit.

Those are just regular, full extension drawer slides. They aren't the 6' long, 500 lb rated slides. I think they are $15 a pair.

My lock in/out 500# slides were 200 bucks.

And are totally unnecessary. To do again I would use something much less industrial.

They are pretty bad-ass. But completely unnecessary.
