Must have been more of a zoo there this weekend than normal since yesterday was the massive pride parade.

If you like ocean and rocky coast check out Lands End https://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&channel=ipad_bm&um=1&ie=UTF-8&fb=1&gl=us&entry=s&sa=X&ftid=0x4cad7b923e11357b:0xf965d23a12da86b0&gmm=CgIgAQ==

Nice drive, I went down that way atleast once a week for years. There are a few spots on the way I could pull over and sit out on a cliff over looking the water for hours.

Edit: map didn’t work, it’s in Harpswell Maine, just out side of Brunswick
Web page of the gift shop that’s there, http://www.landsendgifts.com/

Yeah, we scarpered fairly early yesterday morning, to avoid the parade crowds coming into the city. There was still lots of Pride running around while we were doing tourist stuff on Saturday, though. They did an organized run that morning that had something like 10,000 people in it.

Im supposed to hit up Moosehead. But we need to figure out an auto feeding situation for the cats. Kinda feel bad considering we just moved and we'd be ditching them

Go to the pet store and buy a box of mice. Then let them loose in the house right before you go. Exercise and food. #winning

My system for the cats consists of opening a window in the sunroom for them to come & go with, and mounding their bowls over with food. They seem to do fine. :notsure:

Has anyone else ever used Rustoleum Rust Dissolver? I'm actually kinda impressed. Experimented with it on some old rusted tools from my FIL, got down to clean metal in a majority of places. Might use it on my hitch...it's rusted to shit, for some reason the shop who hit my frame with oil didn't spray it. Probably use that to get the bulk off, hit it with the wire brush wheel, then hit it with some rust reformer.

Think it's worth the time to do my welds in the rear wheel well (shock bucket and a few other spots) they're really the only spots one my frame with rust...a couple nickel to quarter sized spots on the PS frame rail but that's it...highly recommend NH oil if ya'll haven't used it

So do we. Smokey has recently slimmed down (against his will) to around 20lbs, and Toni struggles to stay up around 9lbs. But for a weekend away, they self-regulate enough not to either explode or starve. :notsure:

Haha, for the past two weeks I had been planning to camp at Moosehead Wed-Sunday then Dad called this morning and changed my mind.

Have you ever stayed at any of the dozens of free, first come first serve campsites right on the lake? There seems to be about 2 or 3 dozen primitive campsites that operate this way. Just curious if I would be completely shut out going there this week, or if those sites actually don't fill up all the time because most people don't like to do anything unless it's planned and reservations set in stone. I was going to just camp on the shoreline of Sugar Island somewhere if I couldn't get one of the 6 first come/first serve sites that are on Sugar.

Yup. But no idea their availability for the weekend. You could easily camp in NwM though

My fat one gets aggressive with the little one and keeps him from eating. He's got some life stuff going on. We have to ensure he eats at time.

We've actually considered making a box that only he can fit in with food.

Hit some trails in NH and Maine, camped in northern NH and then did the Mt Washington auto road on sunday.
