Toyota needs to step up! I’ve been waiting for the Tacoma hybrid for years.

 

Mine is the long range which currently is 310 miles. On the highways, it drives itself... changes lanes to get around slow traffic... very trippy. If it needs juice, itll actually navigate itself to the supercharger on your route and tell you how long to charge. They charge very fast and so usually, you dont have to wait forever to charge.

yeah, they are planning on the 400+ range. Would be nice... also means, they can make a more performance version to go even faster. Mine, 0-60 is like 4.2 seconds..... Performance model i believe is 3.3.

I heard the 400+ range was a software update to the existing battery, not sure if additional hardware is needed.

We are putting in 2 charging stations at project I’m working on. Electric cars are the future, although I’m not sure about the self driving part. Someday someone’s grandma is going to show up to a family event dead. Died on the way and the autopilot brought her there.
