    So I did call (text) out. Then I got a text about a kick off phone conference about a large project we have coming up. So I managed to keep it down to a 5 hour work day by going in late and coming home early. Now imagine (I'm sure some of you can appreciate this) a phone conference with 3 or 4 different company civil, mechanical and hydrology engineers and members of a field office, a district office and the state office. The later of the 3 are the only ones who really had our shit together and we weren't even running the meeting! And we're still in the design and engineering stage! It's like herding cats! Damn, I can't wait till the site visit next week!
