Gotcha. Yeah the hip packs are the way to go. My back seems to feel better with them and I stay cooler.

I fill my bottles with ice... only life changing for the first few drinks, then it’s hot water again down here. :annoyed: Hell, I’ve even tried freezing bottles and it’s still thawed and warming within 1/2 hour in these months.

Have you tried those camelback insulated bottles? They do a decent job of keeping drinks cooler for a little longer.

What part of Carolina are you riding? Rode Wake Forest (town not school) this weekend, it was miserable.

Yeah, I have a couple of them and they last a bit longer, but they are a bitch to get in and out of my cages for some reason. Take the good with the bad I guess..

About 45 minutes west of there, in a single track desert. :frusty:

Shit, head over to the Triangle, or at least hit Brumley Forest. There are tons of trails around here.

Yeah Brumley is the closest to my office in Mebane and one of my favorites in the area. I call it the Autobahn of single track. It is fast! Also like Little River, but further out...

I have the bladder version of that hip pack. The “Seral” It’s awesome. My back stays much cooler and seems to hurt less now. Gonna do my best to stick with it and stay awake from my full pack if I can help it.

On another note, can someone a hitch mount rack for my full squish? I had a tailgate pad for my 2nd gen. But my 3rd gen has a soft topper and I don’t want to catch a pedal and tear it. Not looking to spend a fortune but looking for a decent one that can tilt down and full up flat on the tailgate when not in use.

Honestly the price. They have some really good reviews from riders in the UK.

I looked at Trek at my LBS but for the similarly specced bike it was at least $500 more

Love it so far! It rides great

Anyone else doing the Pinkbike 30 Day Challenge? I live on a trailhead so I'm optimistic I can do it. Only issue is I'm getting married this month but I may just delay it

Wish I could join in. But being able to ride a ‘recognized trail’ everyday isn’t realistic for me.

Delaying your wedding? Wow, my wife is super cool and very tolerant of my hobbies, but that kinda of tolerance is.....just mind blowing. Unless you guys are just eloping or something.

I got a frame bag made for my bronson that holds all my tools. Add a water bottle and just go. I can get about a 8-12 mile loop in with just the kit on the bike without wishing I had more water.

Now if I wear any sort of hip or back pack, it just feels...overburdened.

They are all over the place in Ireland. Looks like a solid brand based on the number I saw.

And we can do it on the trails so we can keep up with the challenge! Win-Win!

Yeah, I can get about an hour ride in with just a bottle in the after work hours rn. I ride in the mornings to take advantage of the desert cool at night. It's like 60 in the AM and 92 in the afternoons this week.
