Anybody have a spare driveshaft or no of a place that balances them?

Put a decent gouge in it. Enough to make the vibration annoying

Take it from someone who gouged his several times and put some dents in it. You should look into having it re-tubed, balancing will only help for so long eventually this will happen.

You have to flip the whole thing around. I made a list of parts that should work in the DS thread. But people don't want the non greasable. Otherwise if you go DC what has been proven is 1310 u-joints. A retube is pretty cheap. If mine wasn't getting new CB and a u-joint or 2 it was only going to be 175 bucks.

Oh it took about a yr to twist mine like that and I think it finally died on my last trip I climbed a decently steep ledge and smacked it on the jagged rocks bending it and putting a good slice in it where it twisted. There are plenty of other candy cane stripes and dents in it not where it failed.

Open open climbing shit that guys use lockers on. Momentum and good bumps. Also climbing tall ledges and rocks that SWB vehicles wouldn't have a problem but that TL life you drag stuff.

The guys that do it don't reset their pinion angle with a DC you are supposed to point the pinion directly at the DC joint and not match the output angle like a normal u-joint set up. There is a lot more to it that the simplified deal those guys tend to make it. I think it's more placebo than anything and there is still some vibes. I for one had no vibes until I started hitting my DS.
Also just proper DL set up for a 2 piece or one piece is key.

I use a CV drive shaft in my Samurai, no vibs at all and it is on a steep angle. Had to have it shortened, the tube is about two inches long, lol
I had to turn the diff up and relocate the spring perches.

Yep you set them up the way you are supposed to. I was reffering to others that put them on then don't reset the pinion angle like you are supposed to and say they don't have vibes I mean it could be true. Kinda knew you would have one properly set up. Don't seem like the type to just do it without having some research done and properly done.

I tried the conventional drive shaft but being that short it was too steep of an angle

What was the trail name that we all got our rear bumpers on and @stronghammer was able to maintain the 35's and rear locker vs front and rear locker discussion?
