Thinking pilot error on engine loss .My son flew right seat in same damn plane last Sunday. I Just got pictures I'm not supposed to have of inside the hangar .OMG .Pile of melted metal and bodies what's left of them.

 

I think this is the post he speaks of.

 

Man I hate to hear that. That's fucking awful.

No Shit ' And my son is stuck in Victoria now he grounded the plane 4 times because the auto feather is fucked up which will cause the same damn crash .And he has to test fly it each time they attempt to fix it .Took off with one of maint tech and plane was trying to hard roll right and tech was shutting himself .Bet they fix it right now.

 

I'm good. I've seen enough in-person gore and enough aviation accidents. I'm sad to hear there was loss of life. That's a shit way to go as a pilot and especially as a passenger. At least as a pilot I accept the risk. And, potentially, can do something about it. A passenger is clueless and helpless.

Maintenance check flights always suck but they are 100% necessary.

Good buddy, and you have been missed around here while on your rice adventures this year. Guess I'm glad I was too tied up to stay in cheap dives for an adventure flight. You ought to link up those ricing vids you shared with me!
Overland was cool, but I even need to clean the covered bed! I had fun!

 

I shot some AWESOME video today with a newer camera. BUT it all came out upside-down. I'll get more tomorrow. Right-side-up.

 

It's almost hypnotic, the rythym to it, the rice responding! So cool!

 

Got to wheel the laptop back out here. Phone is a PITA!

 

My current fields are complicated. Lots of weird lines, close up tree action, power lines, hard turns. I'll try to get it tomorrow, upload, and share.

 

If the wind is out of the West, I have to go under power lines about twice a minute for an hour straight.

 

I need a head mount so you can see what I see.

But I'm a bit too drunk to drive to Walmart to get one.

 

Good idea to wait. Prolly got some duck tape, tho that is a sweaty and messy solution

 

Anyone know if drinking in the back of an Uber is illegal?
