So my wife's Accord went into the shop this AM after I found it leaking oil this weekend and the battery light was on (along with a whine while idling). Guy says a pressure hose failed and it needs a new alternator. This thing is cursed.

 

If I wanted tranny fluid I’d go to California

 

Ohh the j series v6? The power steering lines famous on those. And the fluid pouring into the alternator probably killed it

 

No she has the 4 banger. Speaking of power steering, he also recommended a power steering flush for $140 but I told her I'd do that. I don't want to mess around with the alternator though.

If it were my truck I would, but I don't want to venture into bigger repairs with her car and fuck it up lol

They're installing a reman alternator for $300 which doesn't sound too bad

 

That’s not too bad. On those I usually charge like 50 bucks to swap them out plus cost of the alt (Napa remains usually around 200.) so your not doing to bad

hey who knows the part number for the diff breather extension.. my old ones looking pretty rough...

and @Speedytech7 what is the part number for the aisin locker motors. going to get the front diff and shit ready on the truck and try and make it a roller this month. i want this fucker done

i have a fully rebuilt E locker diff i rebuilt in 2014. im just putting a new locker motor on it and running it. plus chances are this truck will never see offroad again. sleeper status is goal. with capability if i ever go a different direction with things
