I’m running 255/85’s and haven’t had any rubbing issues on or off road. No CMC needed.

All this talk about tires makes me want to just buy my 33's and slap em on Goliath.. Need new UCA's now too cuz my drivers side front ball joint is squeaking up a damn storm...

But then I kinda need new gears to run them effectively right?? I dont wanna render Goliath useless for a while when I do that :/

 

Drive down to ECGS and have them do it. They're in Raleigh. Only takes a day. Then on your way back, you can do the break in

 

Yes you would need to regear. along with more cutting beyond the 33's

Didn't realize that they can do it in a day, that's not too bad at all.

 

You're basically looking at trimming the fenders (front and rear), hammering the pinch weld, doing a deeper CMC, and possibly needing to limit uptravel in the rear. and still possibly rubbing if your offset/backspacing are off.

Not trying to talk you out of it, just letting you know that it involves more than just a regear.

 

33's it is cuz I dont have the time for all of that while im down TDY :/

 

I wanna plan a river float cabin meet soon. The Potomac is known for tubing, conoeing & kayaking. My buddies up on the mountain float it all the time and tell me the views looking up at the mountains is beautiful. I figured after the float we can head up to the cabin and fire up the grill, enjoy some cold beverages & bs around the firepit.

I didnt trim the rear at all, or limit up travel.

Just did a bigger cmc, and cut the front fenders 2".

You're running super bumps, right?

And I'm guessing if you full flex out that you probably rub somewhere. and if not, thats great! not everybody is that lucky.

Either way, its not as simple as just throwing the tires on with a regear and rolling out the door without issues.
