I hard wired my winch controls here. Now other people pull my rope to the tree for me. ;)

I like it. I rest my elbow right above it on the armrest. My hand drapes down on it nicely. It's a momentary rocker switch. As soon as I release it, the winch stops moving. The camera switch next to it is an on-off-on. Either direction is on (one side for front camera, yet to be hooked up, one side for rear anytime camera) middle is off. The winch switch is called a momentary on - off - momentary on. When I release it, it goes back to the middle position (off) by itself.

In definitely need to consult you when I get into wiring some stuff up. I didn't even think about options for a switch.

Clockable means the motor can be rotated, spun like a clock.

Update for everyone who was following along on my shitbag tenant issue. They actually moved out of the house and are surrendering the keys to me any day now. They left a bed in the apartment, as well as other shit I'm sure, that they will either take or leave. I will find this out later today. As soon as I get the keys, I can change the locks.

This also means I don't have to go to court next week anymore.

Is this something they will advertise or do you have to know what winch is capable? I assumed that is what clockable means. I have only used my old warn on my quad. It isn't clockable though, surprisingly easy to rebuild with youtube though.

No idea if they mention it or not. It wasn't something I had to watch out for when I bought mine. Or at least I didn't run into any issues when installing mine where I had to learn about the cockable aspect.

Is this a clockable winch? Sorry for all the posts I don't know how to multi-quote and I can't quote one page, then go to the next without posting.

Had a similar conversation with both my insurance agent and adjuster about the truck bed that was damaged. Pay for insurance and no one covers vehicle parts sitting around the house. Homeowners specifically states it does not cover vehicles or parts. Auto doesn't cover if it isn't on the vehicle at the time. Neither policies paid out what I have paid in or remotely close over the last 10 years of having the policy either. Win some and lose some. I can't bitch because I don't have much into the bed, but it would be nice to have some extra $$ towards an eventual re-gear.

Yes it is, and instructions for it are in the box. @PCTaco installed a 12k into his ARB maybe he'll chime in
I don't mind separate posts and quotes. With that being said... @Redmann laid out some insight on multi-quote, like a page or two ago.

@Bastek any complaints or considerations when going with that particular winch. Also, good look on Amazon.

I didn't use it enough to form an opinion about it. I used it only once to pull up two trucks over an obstacle, and used wireless controller because why not:D
I chose this one because low price, wireless controller, it being waterproof, and the fact a bunch of guys around here have same or similar Smittybilt, and most if not all have a positive opinion about them ( also, it seems the grease has been upgraded, and there is very little resistance when free-spooling).
