I haven't updated this in a while. A few days back my Kenwood DNX570 died. I replaced it with a Pioneer 2400nex.
I went ahead and added in the SiriusXM tuner while I was at it.

I've got the older version Pioneer 1330NEX with Apple CarPlay and the whole bit. It's been the best stereo I've owned and at the most reasonable price. I feel like they're better quality than Kenwood.

They are both bad. I've done 5100's and spacers so don't waste time saying I don't know anything :)

Both of those options and most 'coil overs' that have adjustable spring seats that are pop in install are all basically doing the same thing, just in different ways.

To lift your truck, you use longer springs and extended travel struts. It's pretty simple. :) and actually doesn't cost anymore (parts wise anyway, labor.. different story) than, maybe less than like a FOX coil over set up.

And you have longer springs rated for what your doing and struts that aren't maxing out.

I’ve still got mine, bought mine new and running strong at 600,000 with v6 supercharged. Not many other trucks or cars can run this long.
Had an Audi S4 that about broke me in maintenance and repairs with less than 100,000 miles. Dropping 10k for repairs in one years, love the German cars but no more for me.

Nice looking truck for 600K miles! And all those mile Super Charged! Double :thumbsup:

I understand about the German cars, but I do like to keep my wife in something nice. And we usually trade before the warranty expires.
That AMG SUV I will admit is little overkill though, with quarter mile times of 11.7 seconds at 119 mph stock.
But a mans gotta have a little fun now and then. And you sure ain't gonna take it with you. :D

If you think lift kits for Tacoma's are expensive, just converting a GLE to coils will run you a good $5,000-$7,000 much less fabbing a lift! J/J with you man, lol! Just looked into it a couple weeks ago for our 2012 GL, so had to throw that in there, lol!

AMG... that's on my bucket list man, congrats! beautiful addition to the family and I'm sure your Tacoma appreciates the new sexy roommate too! Lol!

That’s a sweet car for sure, yup if it’s not under warranty it might get expensive if one drives a lot. :)
Isn’t a windshield with heads up like 1500.00?
Anyways that power is a drug I know!
Guess I will stick with my 100.00 yearly plates registration for my Tacoma and my 1969 2 seater Jag for now.

If I could get that Beastly Taco to breed that sexy M then we might have something.

Let's just dream for a minute
    drifting off . . . . . . . . . . 500+hp twin turbo V8. Full time all wheel drive with 9 speed wet clutch transmission.
3rd Gen comforts and ride but the size of a 1st gen. Heated and cooled seats, heads up display, Air ride suspension
300K plus reliability, tow 6000 lbs, all while getting 25 mpg on the Hwy.

Oh.... and the biggest kicker of all. 4 wheel disc brakes.

All you have to do is turbo your tacoma!

The 1st gens that run turbos are pushing 450hp at 3500 pounds or so,
So they are rocket ships with the BIG weight to hp ratio advantage and can still off road.

But that might cost 10,000 to have someone do it right for your Tacoma.

There’s alway options for you tho.

    Mmmm.

    Haha, thanks,
A few looks anyways, it had a frame off restoring about 8 years ago.
It’s a hard one to find in the coupe two seater in this condition.
But I seriously prefer to be in my Tacoma:)

    Thanks

    Truck looks great!
I’ve owned my 2nd gen. Since new (dec 2004). Driven 147,200 miles. Going to the dealer tomorrow for:
    1- “thunk” when downshifting stopping
    2-slight staining around ATF pan
3-possible timing chain repl (dep on diagnosis).
It’s been a great truck. Thinking abt keeping it for another 5 years or so. Still looks and works great.
    I also own a 2011 Garage Queen 4Runner with abt 60,000 miles
