    Hello,
I'm from Oregon and new to Tacomas. I purchased a DCLB last January. I'm loving it so far. Been in sand, snow, a little mud and water. I'm not normally an off-road person, but I want to learn. I bought a canopy and some colored lights for the grille and underneath sides, the windows are now tinted and I put on a running board. Saving up for new wheels and tires. I am sure there is a lot of experience on this forum and all the meanies are on Facebook. Lol.

    Hey,
I'm from Southern Oregon and am a new Tacoma enthusiast. Did you get your truck from a dealer in Oregon? There isn't much around where I live and am considering a little travel to get exactly what I want.

Well anyway, to @Truck_Chaser, I did purchase from a dealer in Oregon. I went through the Costco program. Probably saved a couple $K. To get what you want, ask yourself "what do I want to do most of the time, and some of the time?" This will determine what options you would want. I don't even know all the options, I just told the salesperson I wanted the capability to drive on logging roads and on the beach from time to time. So, for me, 80% of my use of the pickup is a daily driver. I commute to work with it. Not the best on gas though. I average 20 mpg. I've had to learn to slow down the accelerator. I was getting 15-16 mpg at first. I have a lead foot. I also wanted to camp. I purchased a canopy so I could store things and keep them fairly secure and dry.
