To expand on the Seat Jackers/Seat Risers, my buddy Joe at Black Rock Machining and I are working on a prototype that would allow an accessory board to be mounted to the front of the Seat Risers/Seat Jackers.

This would give you a solid place to mount all sorts of good stuff like Flashlights, Fire Extinguishers, Handguns, Axes, Knives, CB/Ham Radio, etc etc. We used Quick Fist Mounts, Maglite Mounts, and earth magnets in the prototype and would likely have those standard hole patterns drilled. Because the boards would be aluminum, anyone with a drill could easily drill their own patterns.

The initial prototype is rough but it gives you an idea of what we’re going for. We are working on a 2nd prototype that will be more aesthetically pleasing and made from 3 separate pieces that bolt together like tongue and groove flooring.

These could be powder coated black or any color to match your trim package

Moving forward, all Seat Jackers/Seat Risers will be manufactured with the front threaded holes to allow the future modular accessory board to be installed. For the early adopters who want an accessory board, we will work with you to return your Seat Risers for drilling/tapping.

If there is interest, they wouldn’t be available until September/October but I wanted to get the feeler out.

Any and all input is welcome.

    Thanks,
    Steve

If you had a version that didn’t jack the seat up I would be a buyer.

This is great, but most owners need the rear of the seat lifted, you could do the same on the back.

Not a fan of fire extinquishers, flashlights and loaded guns pointed at my balls.

    We are working on that.

We thought about that but with the limited space in the backseat, we thought a front board would work a little better.

There’s been a lot of owners who have already lifted the rear of the seat, so if you make something that attaches there would be interest.

looks cool, but I would never want an object that could possibly come off and roll in front of my driver seat. If it comes off and rolls under the brake pedal your going to have a bad time

I'll get some up tomorrow but it doesn't impact 99% of trucks. Just the ones that are a little bit different from the factory.

Fair point. With the quick fist and maglite mounts you would really have to jar your truck to break one of those things loose. I'm not saying it's not possible but I feel like you'd have bigger problems if you rocked your truck that hard.

So maybe another vote for a rear board?

If it were me I’d build rear board, last thing you want is some lawsuit because someone didn’t clip something in all the way and blames you for crashing his truck

Thanks, we are definitely considering it.

    Nice

Good points. Regarding the rear risers, we've had a couple guys use both front and rear risers or remove the rear risers after trying our front ones.

Seems like there's not one solution that works for everybody, more of a personal preference thing.

Thanks for the input everyone. The goal is to introduce some new products that are useful.

Personally I can’t see how that would be comfortable with a fire extinguisher or some such other bulky item. Pretty sure the back of my feet would be banging or rubbing against it constantly driving me nuts. I think you be better off putting it in the back but then of course you’d have the same or worse from a passenger’s point of view back there - especially considering the already limited leg room in the back.

Edited to add I always thought the seats are too low. Maybe just a riser to bring it up a bit in conjunction with the rear risers.

Yes! It looks like the plate may impede the seat from being sled forward.
Also angling that big plate back towards the driver may minimize feed scraping.

We are already making and sell the front risers.

I'm 6'-1" and had plenty of room for my feet, I tried to capture that in the posted pictures. But I could see how this could bother some people.

We are also working on rear spacers or brackets that would allow the board to be mounted in the rear.

The seat has full movement front to rear and the lever to adjust is accessible with 2"-3" of clearance top to bottom.

The concern I have with angling it back is that it would angle the fire extinguisher up and might hit your legs.

Thanks for the input guys. Keep it coming
