Sounds like a lot of work haha jk.

There are quite a few YouTube videos going through all of that and with your guys help I could get it done without this tool. A benefit is I could replace the inner and putter boots without taking he axle out of The differential. But I already have 2 spare CVs that just need new inners.

Here are the crimping tools I used on the bands. One pinches sideways and pushes down at the same time.

The problem is stretching the small end of the boot to get over the CV joint. In my considerable experience with cracked or leaking boots, I found that the small boot end never retracts to be snug on the axle enough to where when you install the clamp it wants to Fold or crimp the boot diameter, thus resulting in a leaky boot, leaving you right where you started. By far best to just go thru the pain of pulling and replacing with a CVJ axle. I spent about $500 dicking around until I surrendered.

Somewhere in there I'm sure there's a well thought out and great response. For some reason all I could focus on was stretching the small end, your considerable experience with the small end not retracting, installing a clamp, pain, and finally dicking around. Oh and crying. It seemed to just flow with cams demonic sex toy quote....

    You forgot the $500
Yes basically if you stretch the small end too much it will end up with a gape.
Same idea but without your anal reference.
    Having said that, yes. :D

Does anyone know anyone at ATT or Tmobile? I ve been with TMO for 6 months and restored my phone yesterday and it somehow got carrier locked to a provider other than tmobile. No tmobile sim works in the phone, ATT doesnt give a shit since im not their customer, Apple cant seem to do anything and neither can Tmo. Its not an issue with the phone ( I worked at apple for 6 years and do mobile device management for a living). I'm pretty desperate as i cant use my phone at all except on wifi and cant make any calls or text messages.

T-Mobile unlocks phones when they switch from a different carrier. Customer support can't unlock it again? They must have when you first switched over right?

How was it unlocked the first time? They did some magic with it behind the counter and the phone was good to go? Or did they give you an unlock code?

Can you get a pay as you go sim, set it up with the minimum plan required and then request it to be unlocked via ATT? It's a pita I know but might work, or hell, have someone on ATT activate it on their account then have it unlocked and give it back to you?

Might want to run the IMEI to make sure nothings changed with it.

They most likely don't give a shit, and won't do it for a non customer. The key is to have it unlocked before you cancel your current agreement with them.

It somehow got relocked to ATT and only ATT can unlock it, but they dont give a shit about my problem because im not their customer. They told me to request an unlock through their website, but you cant do that without an account. The phone was replaced two months ago and has never had an att sim in it so I dont know how it locked to a different network two months after being on TMO. The one I had before was unlocked from att and actvated on TMO since jan. Basically everyone is telling me its everyone elses problem
