new springs tsb

    ok so i got my truck back from the dealer the paint was peeling
    on the bumper by the fog lights this was the 4th time i had it there
    for this
    this time the bumper was removed came out nice
    very happy good job
    BUT this is the best part we all no about the tsb for the
    rear springs on the 08s i had said something to the
    service manager about this i go to pick her up
    and she has new spring in the rear WOW:D

    the ride is great its about 2 to 3 inchs higher in the rear
    this is were you guys come in i need help
    i need to level it but how do i use blocks or the 5100s
    i dont go off road soo
    and the ride is what iam looking for

    Im guessing a lot of guys here would say get the 5100s. That should level you out since you have the tsb done. If you want something a bit higher than 2.5 inches in the front, go for the toytec ome 885 coils

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    yeah....blocks wont do ya all too much good in the front to level it out w/ the rear

    but u also have to remember that those springs are gonna settle down too

    If you end up going with the 5100s. Wheelersoffroad has them for 158/pair. Thats the cheapest Ive found.

    ok i go with the 5100s is that the hole unit or the springs or what
    what does it look like do i have to replace the struts and springs
    or what:D thanks

    the 5100s are adjustable shocks. Youll need a spring compressor for the springs to place them on the shocks.

    you really got 2-3in. out of the new rear springs?? I thought you were only supposed to get 1-1.5in. out of the new springs.

    yeah most people are saying around 1in. after the new springs. I can't wait to get mine done, i've been getting screwed around by 2 different dealers for almost 3 weeks. My parts should be in tuesday hopefully.

    5100's set on 1.75......the rear will settle a bit, and 1.75 should be damn near perfect.:)
