Ugh. Starting to feel a little cursed. After the whole wheel bearing curfuffle, it would seem as though one of my lug nuts has become stripped

 

i should buy myself some purty new lug nuts now lol

got the salvaged wheels back from powdercoater and finally got some pics ... dark charcoal to 'closely' match SR5 decal letter outline
intending to do the center caps black with possibly red on the emblem once I get them sanded well, they were beat up on the salvaged wheels but came complete set not broken
just need to find the right tire to get to put on them (and a tire deal as tires cost $$$)

... bummer was losing the textured feel/look in the middle spokes area
these are intended to be the winter wheels

 

Unfortunately (kind-of) I'll be at Montauk that weekend doing some fishing so I'm out on this one, so just in case anyone needs it the 24hr U-haul number is 1-800-468-4285. Looks like I'll be doing a mini mod day at my garage to get that bumper on or waiting til August lol

nobody I have found makes these in non-corrosive material, not even the LineX shop catalog
gonna have to powdercoat for the time being i guess is the best option, as long as I can safely remove them off the back\
someday a TW fabricator can possibly get something going with some high class material

trouble at the indie Toyota mechanics today
i just wanted a safety check on my truck after some more controlled diagnosis resulted in some new gremlin (or gremlin not previously noticed because of the TOTAL shit roads here they refuse to fkn fix)
mechanic wants me to pork over $75 and that would not come off the repair bill if something was found ... wot the fck am i wrong or am i right
am definitely considering giving him a whack review and negative feedback his azz on his webpage

told me to go have the wheels balanced again first at DT where i got them 7k miles ago.

anybody a good diagnostician!? without a first hand look at it?
