Fellow denizen of Walnut Creek here and I have a very respectable set of tools (as I am not Spucoli's dad). Hit me up if you need any help or beer.

 

I camped there once next to a family who thought it was a good idea to give their toddler a whistle and free reign to use it all day. So experiences may vary.

 

Friendly reminder for the 4th...and the remainder of summer/fire season...and pretty much always: Please make sure you are extinguishing your campfires before you leave and help others do the same.

 

I know what you are saying. I’m in the process of getting information on a camper an send them a letter and a picture of their campfire they left behind.

 

My dad had one of his pinkies blown off when he was younger due to fireworks. Funny story, one of the guys at work asked him what time they were coming in. Well the shop is so loud so my dad put his hand up. The guy showed up at 5 am and an hour late. My dad thinks hes so funny...lol. I think the same

And dont let idiots jump in the cold fast flowing river at 1am either

Thanks man, been here about a week so far and really like it. Smaller than where I came from, and seems like a good community. Plus, only a few hours from lots of fun stuff

 

Not trying to start a big argument or anything like that because you know I have respect for you, but I'm a little disappointed in your implication with that comment.

 

My ex worked with a guy who blew a good chunk of his hand off carrying lead azide around in his pocket trying to make fireworks. He was a PhD chemist. I named him blast.

 

..there was an older kid at school that destroyed his left eye with a blasting cap found in a local mine tunnel that we all frequented.
