Why don’t you just decide in your mind you are right and then not waste peoples time being argumentative.

Yes I guess if you did two oil changes one hot and one cold and let it drain for 24 hours you would get virtually the same drained.

I don’t let mine sit for hours on end.

The OP is changing the oil when cold so the oil will be drained out of the filter.

Ahhh the good old days. If you didn't like an oil filter, just leave it out and change oil every 1,500-2,000 miles

When you remove the old oil filter, everything visible to the eye looks fine. You can't see dirty media. You see shiny metal, a nice gasket, nothing different other than it is oily vs brand new filter.
Maybe that is what the OP is reporting?

I aint that trustworthy. A good old 14mm is pretty failsafe.

Granted, Ive never heard of someone loosing all their oil cause a valve came undone. But I dont want to be the first.

Makes the oil drain slower but that's not the only reason I don't use them. I won't trust a valve with my engine's critical life flowing fluid. While Fumotos have a pretty good reputation there has been horror stories. Not many where the oil drained out quickly but some have been reported to leak.

I'll stick to my good ol fashioned trusty magnetic drain plug. Not like it's hard to remove & replace a drain plug anyway. I've considered putting one on some of the machines in my garage but I'll never put one on a vehicle that I own & love. But that's just me.

Yep if Thai they're known for looks to be deceiving! Pretty sure it might have something hanging out rather than a hole where you screw it in. ;)

The reason you warm and circulate the oil before an oil change is two fold.

    1. It allows the oil to drain faster.
    2. The oil warming up and circulating picks up more contaminates, which then get carried out when it is drained.

It doesn't have to be or nor should it be done at full operating temperature. Just good and warm after getting circulated well through the engine.
