I've got a couple kayaks, ones a jackson kilroy which is a sweet setup for fly fishing, other is a native slayer propel which is awesome for getting around in salt but absolutely blows with all the stuff to snag your line on. I got one of those pontoon deals that leave your feet in the water (Colorado xt I think?) for really cheap last year but I havent used it much. Rowing is tough to get used to after years of paddling. I've always been on the hunt for one of those old town packs, that would be a sweet setup for fly fishing.

Loaded up for a few days at Chincoteague Island. Prolly won’t do as much fly fishing as hardware/bait dunking but this is my default fishing thread so I’m posting it here lol

I’ve seen some “professionals” lately claiming their fish are waaaay bigger than the picture looks. So, here’s my 20” from this morning

I’m in need of some new wading boots. I was looking at the Korkers that have the sole you can put on and take off (specifically the Hatchback), but don’t have any experience with them. Anyone have them? Pros/cons? Are the hatchbacks any easier to get on and off?

I have a pair of Simms right now with the Boa system. I like the boas, especially in the winter. Don’t have to deal with frozen laces.

I've got the Korker Buckskins and love em. Feels like I'm wearing hiking boots. And the interchangeable soles are just fantastic for all the obvious reasons. Lived in them for 2 straight weeks on my Alaska trip last year...no issues.

I have the Korkers Buckskins and like the easy sole change out feature. A couple of my fishing buddies have the Hatchbacks and like them so far. The only complaint they have with the Hatchback is that they are not as comfortable when they have to hike a long way into fishing spots , they are stiffer than the Buckskins.
One thing about the Korkers Buckskins, they don't feel like they are built as tough as my Simms Boa boots, I doubt they will last as long as my Simms boots which have over 6 years of use with no issues with boots or boa system. The Korkers are not cheaply built, they just are a lighter build than the Simms, which is a plus when hiking a long way in, the lighter weight of the Korkers helps keep my feet happy.

My son loves his Korkers. He has gone through 2 pairs of Korker Buckskin and Reds in the last 2 1/2 years. He is an extreme wader, lots of hike in miles and lots of time in the water!

My Korkers having a breather after their first swim!

Good choice. I've got the Redside and love them. I turned to Korkers after a buddy got the Darkhorse.

The same shit everyone else has.
Jesus. I destroyed a set of G3 boots in 6 months and a pair of G3 waders in under a year.

The boots are cobbled together. I still wear em. Mostly glue and studs holding the soles on. About 15% tread left on em. They’re mostly smooth though. And the tops are more aquaseal and liquid toe guard than leather at this point

I'd like to get me one of those some day. Only went out once for them in Belize. The fish did not cooperate. Saw some monsters but none feeding.
