I think it's cheap enough to try it out. Report back to everyone here when you do it :D

I rattle canned mine like couple months ago with color match paint from orielly and it still looks great, haven't had it scrap off

After having run the wheels for months before attempting to paint them it was a little tedious making sure I got all the brake dust and grim off completely

I found it easiest to put the bolts in ply wood to scrub any missed spots then spray painted them on the same spots, I also got a pack of nuts that fit the bolts to secure them while I scrubbed... Like I said tedious but cheap and worth it

Just an FYI, the black VTX bolts DO FIT on SCS wheels. I have both all black VTX Rogues and Matte Bronze SCS Ray10s and the bolts are interchangeable

So what did you end up doing? If paint did it hold up with the socket on it?
    Thanks

I ordered them off the VTX wheels website. It was $40.00 for 80 bolts. There’s a link on post #26.

I also rattled can mine...cardboard works too. Looks like the paint held up against the 10mm socket and wheel mounting. Also if anyone is interested in what the stock TRD OR rubber looks like on ray10 16x8.

Looks great. I am considering keeping my stock tires with my ray 10s. Do you have a profile shot you can share?

Ordered mine. This will complete total blackout including completely blacked out headlights, (except angry halo) and taillights.

I've seen lots recommended to use blue loctite when replacing bolts. I removed an old one to check new bolt size but OEM didnt have any loctite
Anyone using it or not needed?
    Thanks

I've had a few of the beadlock bolts work themselves loose before, thankfully none fell out. I would say it's your choice, either use a dab of loctite to keep them in place, or just be sure to check/tighten them down every so often. Atleast with the loctite, it's a one time then forget about it kinda deal.
