So I pulled the trigger yesterday and now own a 2016 Tacoma SR5 V6 Double Cab 2WD. Already ordered the tweeters and looking at fender flares, and now I think it needs a little more 'go'. What are some of the easy upgrades you all have had success with?

Ok. If you just bought it and already not happy with the power, than I would maybe suggest stop putting money into it (save that money) and get a V6.

The V6, albeit with its quirky A/T, has plenty of power to knock you back some when you step on it.

    He said,
@Mullingandog, no simple bolt ons will do diddly. Some folks are enjoying their OVTune installs though. You might look at that.

If the truck is too flat for you already, you didn't test drive it enough. And you're not pushing the pedal hard enough.

Remember, the typical mods folks clamor for around here, like lifts, wheels, tires will just make it worse.

    Chose wisely.

I see a Tundra in your future, my dream Tundra is a RCSB 4WD with the 5.7 in red so the Bonnies of the world know that i've arrived when I roll up to the bowling alley on a Friday night playing Supertramp at 11

My bad, the 2wd must have thrown me off and i havent finished my coffee yet. Could have sworn it said 2.7.

Yeah, tough to get much more power out of the V6.

You could just remove all the extra weight as one guy on facebook was doing.

It seems, some people assume there's always more hidden power, regardless of how it drives.

Great points. It does have bigger wheels and tires and has decent power, just not fun power...
