That's how I get. It's great for about a week then I'm ready to go back to work.

 

I'm looking forward to a long weekend myself. Got the next 4 days off. Come on 3:30! Hoping to take the boat to see fireworks tonight, but there are a chance of storms so we'll play it by ear.

 

Yeah well I wasn’t even allowed to drive up till a few days ago so I was on a no activity diet which made it worse

Haha no worries. I've done it many many times. It can be quite the shit show, especially if the weather is nice. Wind forecast for today is basically none. I'm expecting it to be busy. Fortunately I don't come from Chesapeake Beach. I will typically ease in to my viewing spot way outside of the chaos and still have a great show.

I think there are some incidents every year. A lot of yahoos with liquid courage out there.

I remember a few years ago the weather turned quickly and everyone rushed for the inlet at CB. Wind was howling out the south and blew boats on to the shoal inside the inlet. So many people grounded.

Years ago I made the mistake of taking my boat out to the Inner Harbor area to watch the fireworks, I never did that again.
