What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I have the dash multi-mount to go on that has been sitting for a month now. Then I just got the rest of my sound deadening materials in. Did the base layer on doors and wall last month but it bugged me that I did not go full Monty on it so that will hopefully be done this month. Doing the whole floor, doors and wall in CCF and MLV.

 

I seem to be getting road noise from the vents in the back of the cab. Does anyone else hear it?

 

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary while driving to work this morning, and I haven't read anything on here that would make me think it would.

 

Reviews I read say they work just fine on the 3rd gen Tacoma's. Mine is on the way, just hope it fits my Gasshole.

I saw a video that stated you tighten it till you hear 3 clicks. Unlike what the manual says about our OEM gas cap which is just 1 click.

 

I caulked mine when I put the first layer of material on the wall. It seems to be a little more quiet in the cab but it could be the placebo effect too.

Added a gear hammock to the ceiling of the cap. Used some d-rings for the corners and a few extra attachment points down the sides and middle to decrease the stretch. I will be hanging light things up there like gloves, paper towels, tarps, and my tripod camp stools.

 

Engaged the T-Case in 4H and Knocked out my monthly 10 mile loop on the dirt tracks and tank trails during lunchtime. Just my normal month to month preventative maintenance.

 

While I le the look of the OEM wheels, I'm super happy with the FJ trail teams. (Thanks @kitsym)

Also threw on a pair of RCI sliders. I'm super impressed with the fabrication quality. Though I will say that the instructions were not the most we'll written... Luckily it wasn't rocket science.

Charlie growing fast! told him last night, lets go to bed, he was worn out, walked right into his kennel, laid down and was out before I closed the door. My first Border Collie, but dont think I have ever seen a smarter 9 week puppy! Already loves riding!
