My dad bought a certified preowned GMC Yukon last year, and he loves it. We have used the air-conditioner a few times, but this is the first time I've ridden in it when it's been this hot out. What I noticed is that A/C takes several minutes to cool off. Obviously, a Yukon is a big vehicle, but I am not talking about how much time it takes the A/C to cool off the cabin. I am talking about how long it takes for the air coming out of the vents to get cold. My Tacoma's A/C will be blowing cold at the vents within a couple minutes.

I should also mention that my dad's Yukon DOES NOT use R134a. It uses R1234yf or whatever the hell it's called. My Tacoma obviously uses R134a. The A/C in the Yukon takes a few minutes longer than my Tacoma to get cold at the vents; when you're in a dark blue SUV with black leather seats, and it's over 85°F outside, that 5-10 minutes can feel like an eternity! The A/C in the Yukon does work great once it gets going.

Just last week, I detailed a base model 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan with front and rear A/C. The front A/C in the minivan was ice cold, whereas the rear A/C was rather warm. Unlike my dad's Yukon, the Caravan used R134a.

    Ideas?

This morning I ran the defrost on hot for a few minutes to warm up the windsheild and it lasted for about 30 minutes so I just "warmed" it up again for a minute or two to get the rest of the way to work. My wifes 16 4runner does it too

Are you sure it’s a battery problem and not an intermittent starter motor failure? Anti theft device problem. As for the taillight bulb warning, check them all!!!! Double check!!! And make sure when you find the bulb that’s burnt, replace it with the exact same one

I am a newer Officer in Iowa (1 year on in August). Our County Deputies have all the same authority as any city Officers. They typically don't stay within the city I work as there are plenty of us, but they do occasionally make traffic stops and will help us when needed. More often than not they cover smaller towns around the county. Iowa City Officers are one in the same as County Deputies, just cover different areas.

Short answer, possibly. Can you get a ticket? Unlikely because tint is a state law not federal. Being registered in Pennsylvania I don't see how a New Jersey Officer could write a citation for tint because of different state laws. Where I work we don't stop out of state vehicles for tint.

Imo it is about where the vehicle is registered.
I dont have to comply with emissions or inspections when I drive to another state.

I think you have the numbers backwards.

Aka 5% lets ln 5% of light

20% lets in.... 20% of light.

70% lets in 70% of light.

That's correct but the law is written to excuse out of state vehicle for emissions and inspection testing

When he puts the tester on your window that is an inspection. Tell him no.

Dont need a test meter in PA to write a tint ticket...just a visual observation that the windows are too dark

FWIW, just checked my keyblade for an immobilizer using some kind of checker tool. It says it has one, despite no visible indication on the exterior (did not take it apart to look inside)

You could simply wire in a master switch for your battery. Something only you would know about that would kill power until you got in the truck and flipped the hidden switch. They could get in but never crank it. You might lose a window and some valuables but you’ll have your truck.
