I have seen one Ranger, but man those sales are Ranger sales numbers are impressive.

Oh, I did not have a use for turbo charger, nor a turbo.m Fuck yeah lets rip around, corner hard, and race off the line in a mid sized truck - wtf's wrong with you :angrygirl:. I like my truck the way it is and if I wanted a different vehicle, I would have bought it.

Why do you think the Dakota was always a junk vehicle? I owned and know several people who have owned second gen Dakotas and they were rock solid. I had 189k trouble free miles until I rolled mine. And the first gens always had a good reputation that I saw.

Ranger retail sales have grown every month since January adding 20,880 trucks to Ford’s total pickup truck sales for the second quarter. Q2 Ranger sales more than doubled relative to first-quarter results. Ford can only build 500 a day so they are limited to selling 12K a month. Once inventories are up, people who don't like ordering will find their build on lots. People have been waiting for up to six months for their orders

This will only get better, Especially when Tacoma next edition comes with a turbo. LOL

Or, let's climb a moderate grade without taching at 4500rpm in 4th gear and my vehicle feeling like it's got no more to give.

Easy, down shift to third, accelerate, back to 4th when I reach my desired speed. Do it all the time here in NH and sometimes while towing. Truck has enough juice, if I need more it would be a Tundra, but Taco works for me.

On a recent long drive my wife, who inexplicably knows nothing about cars, asked me "why do you keep downshifting and racing the engine." I told her "because I have to in order keep up a constant speed." She just stared straight ahead and shook her head in disbelief/disgust as if I chose the wrong truck THREE MONTHS EARLIER. She was right. Wrong truck for ME.

The metric I'm noticing that isn't being mentioned is that the Colorado sales have been increasing year over year even if they're not on the level of Tacoma's.

Although Tacoma's are also increasing. It's looking like 2019 will be an improvement over the 245k record breaking year last year.

Apparently TSS was a popular addition.

If that’s true they still only sold of 60%ish of capacity, not great. Not to mention that doubling your Q1 sales isn’t hard when you sold almost nothing. Ford released a frumpy, overpriced truck and it’s showing.

If you add up April and May Ranger sales and then subtract that from the Q2 results, they actually declined from May to June.

    http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-data/ford/ford-ranger/

    April 5,748 + May 7,748 = 13,496

    Q2 20,880 - 13,486 = 7,384 trucks in June

    Down from 7,748 in May

And before you say it.. I'm not a "fanboi"

It’s because Toyota gives you an emergency/parking brake that is actually able to be modulated and is usefull in off-road situations, or if you have a manual transmission. That’s difficult to achieve with rear calipers.

No it's cheaper EVERY other manufacturer puts rear discs on their trucks.
