Just got on boards last week to checkout all the upfits I need that Toyota didn't include. Bought first Taco on Saturday - went with TRD Off-Road with JBL systems & all the options. I drove my son's 2007 FJ for years while he lived in NY and loved the off road capability. Only Pro around was the Voodoo blue and just didn't like that bold of a color.

Plan on adding the fox suspension and baja design lights since I have a connection their and can get one set of shocks dirt cheap and BD lights at wholesale. (my company does military upfits and training).

Decided to add the front camera and will add winch, bumper and roof rack once I decide which ones to go with.

Anyway - I'm here now and look forward to giving as much as a take away from the threads.

Thanks for the welcome - first mods to the truck today. (Pics of some at bottom).

Running boards (took about 30 minutes to install once un-boxed)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AH5J80U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Black "TACOMA" for tailgate (just looked too plain)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H2W22RT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Console organizer (I'm a little OCD)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G2WX6L4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Mud Guards (I'm sure I'll rip them off first time off-roading but they were $40)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077X1BYJC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Front Camera (not installed yet)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H852D49/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Front Camera Interface (ordered direct from Car Solutions - not installed yet)
    https://car-solutions.com/en/rfcc-ttg2-car-camera-control-system-for-toyota-touch-2-entune.php

Automatic.com ODBC Tracker (I have these on all my cars & kids cars - LOVE the ability to look at prior routes, miles driven MPG, etc)
Interfaces with Alexa so I can ask "Alexa Ask Automatic where the Tacoma is", "Alexa - ask automatic how many miles I drove last week"
This version is NO RECURRING CHARGES - love it; they discontinued it and are now selling new version with $5/month fees.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JRBQ9PC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Truck Bed Mat (to keep stuff from sliding around - bought from dealer $87.50 installed)
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B1TNQC...olid=3UVOCY21SOCS0&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Fog Lamps (Replaced Toyota LED's with Baja Designs Squadron Amber - I'm dealer so get at cost)
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Toyota-Tacoma-Tundra-4Runner-Squadron-Sport-Amber-WC.asp

Off-Road Lights (Installing Baja Design Dual S8 10" lights behind Grill - I'm dealer so get at cost)
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Toyota-4Runner-TRD-14-18-Dual-S8-Mount-Kit-10-S8.asp

Skid Plate (TRD Skid Plate from Dealer @ cost)
    https://parts.pinehursttoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-trd-front-skid-plate-ptr6035190?c=Zz1leHRlcmlvciZzPXByb3RlY3Rpb24mbD0xJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHMmYT10b3lvdGEmbz10YWNvbWEmeT0yMDE5JnQ9dHJkLW9mZi1yb2FkJmU9My01bC12Ni1nYXM=

OTHER: Removed TRD Off-Road Stickers / Replacing with Company Logo - below is mockup with running boards but before installing mud flaps.
Folded down the seats made the back into a nice cargo area, added EDC kit, tow strap, fire ext, tools, etc.
Added my Ram-Mounts Laptop Mount to Front Passenger seat; easy to remove when wife is with me, easy access to Laptop to work from front seat while visiting customers.

TO DO: Front Bumper / Winch - required for self recovery & off roading with the HILUX students here at Bragg.
TO DO: Roof Rack - waiting to see if I really need one.

OWED BY DEALER: Wheels & Tires - Dealer putting a set of KOs on Black Alloy Rims (fake bead locks) for me to give more use off-road.

Should have some scratches in it within a month or so. . . . It's a truck after all :)

I used it in my sprinter van an loved it. Just as convinient in the taco. Tight fit with the shifter, i removed one of the pivot arms to make mine set lower.

Doesn’t get in the way of passenger and makes great table for eating my burger.

Welcome to TW! I am from Pinehurst as well. I have a silver double cab 1st gen (mostly stock) and a lifted, snorkeled, armored 3rd gen 4runner! I know quite a few guys at Bragg/local, I am sure we share some common friends. Let me know if you would like to hit up Uwharrie sometime as we go roughly every 3 weeks or so.

Make sure to join Carolina 4runner group on FB. Lots of good Toyota peeps in there. Let them know that Rob sent you.

@MacGyver18E the 4runner group is headed to Fort Fisher for the day Saturday if you want to tag along. I'm leaving around 0600 that morning.

Should be 60+ Toyotas on the beach that day! Last year was a great time!
