    You'll have more across the RPM range, with the s/c spec'd cams, than stock. Just think of it having more lift and more duration. More are in and out across the range. Makes more power more easily.

    TRD S/C, UCON, 61# inj, 2.5 pulley, 7th inj, Roostfactor Y Pipe, URD exhaust, WAT Nomad Valve body, Dana 60, DK LT, JD FAB LCA mounts, custom roof rack...and way too many others.
    After you pull the cams out, you'll have to thread in a compressed air hose into the sparkplug hole. Then you can remove the spring buckets and use a valve spring compressor to squeeze the springs while you coax the valve retainers out. once these are out, you can pull the spring off. Then while you're in there you'll probably want to replace the valve seals. You can then use the spring compressor to compress the new springs and lower over the valve stem, then secure with the retainers. Repeat, 23 more times.....Side note, if you can get a spring compressor with a rubberized handle you be glad you did. The oils from the engine make those little tools tough to grip and hard on the hands.

    Late '80's chevy engines were terrible about the valve seals. Tell tale blue smoke cloud at startup that clears up quickly. Had to do a couple sets in my youth.

    I’m giving some thought to purchasing the factory tools for this sort of job and then whoring them out to those interested to help offset the cost.
    Obviously that’s another discussion and surely putting the cart before the horse. But, if it helps assuage the apprehensiveness of anyone that may be considering this...

    I’m sure that some porting would help some. But, with the need to pull the heads and timing cover to get that sort of thing done, we’re well beyond “bolt-ons”
