Ha, mine's like half peeled / cracked off RN.

I also had the wild hair to use my bonus check next spring to hop on a new steed. Maybe a Rocky Mountain? I love that green / orange combo! That black red grey combo catches my eyes as well.

I do and don’t haha, it gets exhausting when you don’t find what your looking for. Getting lucky on a find is always nice though haha

Man Im glad I have been pretty content with my builds lately. I remember 6 years ago I was constantly buying different bikes and then selling them eventually.

I've had this one for 3 seasons, and it was a season old when I bought it. I love that bike, just maybe looking at something different.

Really, I should be looking for a smaller 130ish bike. Sometimes the enduro numbers are just TOO much.

In the motorcycle world, we just call that BNG (Bold New Graphics)... when the manufacturers change almost nothing on the bike from one year to the next except the graphics package.

Bike companies do that too, they just change a component to an overly specific standard(.99) and bob's yer uncle!

That new Hightower is definitely not BNG. I was reading about it today but had to stop ‘cause my 4 year old Tallboy was starting to act jealous.

not sure if he was talking about the hightower, but if he is, it is truly night and day difference from the predecessor. it's also night and day from the bronson, mega, nomad, etc. with the lower links and those all look similar. bike companies change their model's engineering specs every so often, but colors change almost every year.

I was just joking ... someone in a recent post was talking about upgrading their bike with stickers (aka BNG) so I was just contrasting that with the new HT, which seemed to get panned by some reviewers for dull colors, but seems anything but dull in spec and performance. Are they on sale yet?

Trust me, to a westerner like me, New England summer humidity is terrible. But then I live near the ocean, so Arizona is pretty unbearable too. Yeah, I’m spoiled.

Apparently went on sale today, and a guy up there has one in possession. I do like the blue color though, it’s a little bit of “notice me” without all of the “in your face” brightness. I’ve been considering swapping out my scout for a 29er... this just pushed me a little harder...

I have this older style Dakine on my 3rd gen and with a little persuasion and some heat from the sun, I was able to work it around so the tailgate handle is fully accessible, and even the camera is exposed enough to be usable (but not perfect). After a few months it’s now formed to fit the tailgate and goes on easily even if it’s been off for a while.
