My buddies kings look exactly the same and we are just down the road from you guys in DC. I read somewhere they started putting some new shit on the roads that is less harsh on environment but not good for shocks. I said exactly the same thing when i saw his as yours, holy shit for how much these cost how does the coating not help with this? The ADS coating was a main reason I was leaning towards them. Now it looks I'm back In same boat for my decision. Thanks for the pics.

Ok repositioned the truck to the center of the garage and re-did measurements. Looks like I did have a slight slope. Good call on that

Total droop on both sides is 3.25”

    Thanks

That's what I'm looking at with my setup. Although I'm 2nd gen so start at 1 inch of threads and go from there with #700? Trying to get an idea of where I will be at and still clear 33.

2nd gen is uniquely different in the front weight. 3rd gen weigh 300lbs more stock in the front. I would start with a 600# coil for the 2nd gen

I’m running 700# coils because of my bumper and winch as well

I have slimline bumper and winch combo, skids, and sliders. Don't these come with 650 to begin with? Trying to see if I stay with 650 or jump to 700 and less preload? I will call the shops later and talk to them just trying to get consensus from guys running them.

The 2nd gen come stock with 600-650# (model dependent). If you have a winch and bumper jump to the 650-700#. Your slimline is almost the same as my lo-pro bumper. You don’t want any sag over time and the ride just gets better

    Workin' on it....
Stock spring rate on second gen TRD OR 4600 Bili’s is 590 lbs/in. The TRD Pro 6112 Bili’s I had on the truck had 600 lbs/in springs. I had no plate bumper or winch at that time and the 1.5” of lift and ride were perfect.

Once I put on a full plate bumper and winch with synthetic line I went with 700 lbs/in springs and so glad I didn’t go with 650’s.

With an IFS 3/16-1/4” skid and a winch in there I’d go 700. Are you running steel or synthetic line - if steel for sure 700 lb coils.

Good to know on that 2nd gen. I was worried the 700# would be too stiff on the 2nd gen. Synthetic line for me.

I have 650# coils on mine with an aluminum plate bumper, aluminum skids and a winch with synthetic line. I've got no complaints about the stiffness but my other experience is with 886s which are 660# so I'm not sure if 600# would be better.

Get 700 and dial in less preload. I’m getting my 650s swapped when I send them in. Have an aluminum bumper, steel skids (CBI overland), and sliders.

Mine look a little worse than yours after one winter back here and make noise. Ride great / loud. I’m not thrilled with how they held up cosmetically, either.

Loud? My leaf springs are loud but the shocks don’t make any noise.

Ohhh...OME coils. Well all I’ve run are the 888’s which are 590#, but preloaded to high heaven in the OME setups which was harsher. 10x than my 700#. What shocks are you pairing with those coils?

Yeah, front passenger sounds like a rusted out box spring. It’s not leaning, think it may just be the heim joint at the bottom.

Gonna pull it off when we get back from Ocean City. We actually might be up in Dewey next week.

No, OME coils are not compatible with ADS shocks. My shocks have the standard 3"x14" 650lb coils.
