Took the Tacoma into a shop today $200 later and have new grounds/terminal cables (positive cable was on my to do list) and no more electric problems. Not too bad. Also got my clutch done on the WRX for $380.

Nope clutch was at the dealership, they already had to replace the flywheel for a TSB so they asked if I wanted to replace the pressure plate and clutch disk @ cost (no labor as it was covered under the TSB flywheel replacement). Clutch had 75k miles on it, sure it had more life on it but not going to get a better deal than that anytime soon.

They replaced a decent amount of stuff, another shop had previously quoted $400 for the cables, so didn’t feel too bad at $200. I’m fine doing mechanical parts, I hate working on electrical stuff. I always let the magic smoke out of the wires somehow.

They also had to diagnose it, so don’t feel too robbed. Yeah I could have spent a weekend swearing at it and chasing stuff but way easier to spend the cash.

would it be noticeable upon a visual inspection? or would there be very serious driveability issues if it were fractured

    maybe MT transmission mount?

it would be nice if this rattle is just all in the driveshaft, would possibly give me the bestest opportunity to get driveshafts all nice and powdercoated

but it could be the ECM from an old discovered TW thread
i have no clue what's involved in diagnosing if that is my issue
