Installed. Solid feeling quality

 

So I wanted to give a quick and honest review of these grills. I have no had mine on and installed for just about a month now. Below is quick notes:

Pros:
-great quality especially for price
-fast shipping
-Straight forward install
-ease of install 8/10

Cons:
-top row upper grate slots are NOT oem size (they are smaller)
-my tabs did not line up very well on one side of the grill. I had to tweet a couple of them to fit and snap in place
-finish was a little lighter gray then I expected. Lot of others I’ve seen were darker. Not bad at all though

Overall the grill is great. Truly. The material used seems pretty sturdy and not flimsy. And the price point is very fair. Service and shipping were also quick and easy. Reason for 8.5 on install was due to my tabs. I had 3 on the drivers side that would not snap. I had to slightly bend them to snap them in place. It’s almost as if the grill insert was slightly too short. The color I mentioned really is not a negative. Yes it’s lighter then expected. But not enough to say it’s bad at all. Just an opinion preference.

The biggest struggle was the mesh holes on top row. For those that mount raptor lights, there are two spots you have to shave/cut out the plastic to mount the lights. Well the left side and right side were completely cut, and lights still wouldn’t fit. I had to file down my lights just to get them to fit. At first I thought it was just me. So I helped a friend install his lights with an OEM pro grill. Once that plastic was removed from the slot, same lights went in perfectly. So for those that plan to do the lights, be aware you will just have to put in more work then maybe some others. And you’ll have to file your light corners down almost all the way.

Overall I still recommend the grill for sure. And For those that do not mind a little extra work for the lights it’s well worth it!

 

Honest reviews are the best, thank you for sharing your thoughts with the community. We do installations often and we've had times when the tabs are a little tighter than expected but they usually all snap in just fine, then again we've installed a couple hundred of them so I'm sure that helps.

Absolutely. And to be clear, it wasn’t hard to get them to snap. Yea it takes a little effort and patience but it’s not like I had to modify. And even the grill trimming being a little smaller then desired, it is not a negative. So for Anyone that reads my comment, it’s all positives. Just helping those be aware who do not want to potentially have to do a little extra for modifying.

Damn, this might be a deal breaker for me The main reason I wanted this replica of an OEM grill is because I wanted to get raptor lights for them, but after hearing the troubles that come along with it, this may not be the right purchase...

 

Don’t let it deter you from buying. You could still get an issue with an OEM one. But for the price and quality, this is a great one to go with. But if you don’t want to fidget with anything then yes you may want to go with an OEM for the extra cost.
