We had it full in about 2hrs, but that was initial filling, so it takes much longer. Haven’t tried a full empty to campin time yet.

We were trying to get the kiddos to sleep on thermarests on the sleep panels and over the cab. One night last fall one kid rolled onto the hatch and we had to get really creative to gain access to the tent from outside. Now the kids get the bed, and we get the new air mattress.... yay.

I'm thinking of getting a little 12v cigarette plug air pump for inflating the Exped mattress I got. We have a wall outlet one for an air mattress we use at home for guests. I tested it on the Exped and it seems to work pretty well.

This one has the twist valves like a thermarest, only bigger and two of them. After self inflation it only took a breath or two to top up to where we wanted it.

I’ll have to time it now the initial fill has been done.

We tried the exped, but was too wide for the forward half of the tent.

It doesn’t fit in the other half of the tent without force, and pressure on sharp bits.

    Finally read all pages..

Has anyone who purchased one of these unpainted but planned or did get it painted or wrapped after the purchase? If so can you share your experience?

Ideally, I want a flat black. AT already has said they will not paint flat black as they have tried once and it was a disaster. So with my truck being Cement, my other option is paint match it to Cement, but Im on the fence as I really want flat black. I am considering buying it unfinished with the intention of wrapping it later or even plastic dipping and trying to determine if I’m crazy. As I would have to remove a lot of exterior hardware.

AT will wrap from factory for $1,600 but admittedly have not done this on a single Habitat.

At one time I thought that a Cement Topper would be too much, but your build truly has me questioning myself. You have the clean but rugged look going on which works. Personally, I think that rear fender decal really helps break up the Cement real-estate.

Your pics seem to show the topper as being slightly darker in color. Is this true?

The color is matched to factory, most likely what you notice is cement is an elusive color. It likes to change depending on the lighting. The flat panels of the habitat and the curved walls of the rear quarter panels cast light differently. I’ve heard this comment before. In person, it looks right.

Interesting crack. Will be keeping an eye on it..for now I drilled both ends and filled with silicone. Its cracked all the way down weld. This is front passenger lower corner. Dont anticipate it being an issue as long as it doesn't keep spreading past my drill holes.
