    Hi All,

I joined a while back looking for solutions to the surging issue experienced by so many Tacoma owners. Long story short I ended up going with the OVTune solution. I never could have done this without the help I got from this forum. The members have been so kind helping me through (what turned out to be) a simple process that (from my technophobe perspective) seemed daunting.

Big shout-out to tonered who really stuck with me through multiple (lame) questions. Big gratitude to Matt and co. at OVTune for creating a solution to a problem Toyota seems to want to ignore.

Speaking of which, I made multiple trips to various dealers and eventually got involved with Corporate all to no effect. Avoiding the bad publicity alone would more than pay for a recall on this vehicle. And OVTune has proven there is a solution. Old news I know so just adding another voice in the wilderness.

So thanks Tacoma World! I look forward to keeping up with the news on this vehicle. It's a work truck for me. I've always used older Fords and Chevys in the past and always lusted after the Tacomas my buddies had. I was so happy to finally be in a place where I could get a new Tacoma and trick it out for work (shell, pull out tray, lumber rack). It was depressing to have a problem right out of the box that dealer and corporate say is "normal." Thanks to TW I am now very happy with my Taco and look forward to years of good service.
