This is exactly what I did.
I've bent a few parts of the bender using my 20T bottle jack ( trying to bend some 1.75" .120 wall DOM ) but I DID make a bend. My issue is that the die was not quite snug enough to the tube, so she flattened out a bit.

from what I can tell I have one too many 1/8" plates in my die design. to resolve this since I can't remove one, I've bought some 16ga sheet metal and hope to line the inside of the die to take up the extra space.
Have the metal, haven't done the work yet.

**edit** its a 7" radius, 120 Degree die.

This was a fun one. Not perfect but real world welding left handed on old steel in tight spots is just part of the gig.

That's cheating. Most peeps drag the weld when dual core welding.

Like the Hypertherm Power Max Air 30??

One problem I see is on hot Humid days like Today lots of moisture is drawn in.

As most Customers can`t be bothering trying to filter incoming air it does tend to really shorten consumable life

We have a rental one of those at work, and surprisingly the consumable life isn't as horrible as you'd expect.

    Good to know!

Hopefully it last as long as the miller 625 xtreme I’ve been using. Just want one that’s mine and not borrowed all the time.
Not super worried about moisture as Colorado air is quite dry. But that is a good point I need to keep in mind if I move.

Just trying to keep this coal burner (coal boiler power plant) online. It’s 34+ years old so it’s a game of repairs at this point. Nothing but corrosion and old shit in every corner lol

Funny our Coal fired plants are all much newer .

The Gas fired ones even more so.

Pa could become a independent Country With all the Power Generating we have

They’re shutting down coal plants left and right down here in Texas. The world is going green(er) and coal isn’t a long term investment anymore. The 4th and 6th Of the largest coal mines in the country (in Wyoming) actually filed for bankruptcy Monday and laid off 700 workers. We get our coal from the Basin where those mines were so idk how the snowball is going to affect us.

More lca reinforcements. I’ve started caring less about the stacking dimes thing because it takes me longer to achieve that look.
