@SCSPerformance , what do you think is the closest match for paint repairs on the black beadlock ring? I'm thinking maybe Rust-Oleum flat black.

Also trying to decide if I wanna mask everything off and rattle can them, or buy a 1 1/2" foam tip brush and a can of paint.

I swapped to m6x10 because that was the smallest I could find in yellow zinc and I haven't had an issue or lost any of them. It's also a much more common size.

I'll probably use this black paint since it matches pretty close. A model car paint brush is what you'll need to use for small nicks.

all the Wendover moon dust stuck to it. static maybe? That dust seems to cling forever. I was out there a month before that photo and you can see all the dus in the rims still too. Took a toothbrush and some pressure to get it all off.

FYI, they're going to rust. I know from experience. Paint them before installing.

Aw man. If I paint, I might as well paint the stock bolts. Thanks for the heads up. I’m going to try to cancel my order.

Mine rusted after the first wash. The black oxide isn’t a rust preventative. Zinc is much better followed by stainless. Black stainless is tits, but you’d be paying almost $2 per fastener multiply that by how many bolts you have and you’re in about $70 just for a small aesthetic difference. Paint is $7 a can.

I was going to order these bolts from eBay, but they are no longer available. The only others I found would take close to a month to arrive. So decided to try to remove the bolts and spray paint them black with some krylon flat black I had in my garage.

Ended up putting 6ish total coats of paint. When I was putting the first couple bolts back onto the wheel some the paint chipped off the bolt head because of the metal socket (I realized I was over tightening the bolts a bit) The rest of the bolts I did not tighten them down so much and the paint did not chip. I just finger snugged them down and then put the slightest amount of extra pressure with the socket on a screw driver attachment..(just a tiny bit further than finger tight, tried to get an exact torque spec but couldn’t find my small torque wrench) I think it will be plenty tight how I did it, as they were not on very tight when I removed them.

If I were to do it again maybe I would try a tougher paint, like undercoating on a couple of the bolts to see how that held up. Still Very happy with how this turned out though. Just had to re spray a couple of the bolts I messed up at the beginning. Also, the cardboard that came with the wheels had nice grooves cut into it. This worked perfectly to secure the bolts and ensure even coating while spraying!
